GOALS Academic Support Program
We teach new skills, new habits and new approaches that result in students becoming more empowered, resilient, and confident.
WHAT IS GOALS?
With GOALS, students learn how to master academic and life skills: how to study, how to focus, and how to enjoy school again! We work with all types of students, but are especially skilled in working with neurodivergent students. GOALS is designed as an academic support program for learning disabilities. We meet regularly with students who have 504 Plans, IEPs and private school accommodations.
Executive Functioning
Executive Functioning (EF) sessions help students organize their time and school work. These sessions are the crux of what makes Empowerly’s GOALS program unique and is where much of the habit formation takes place.
Productivity
Taking the habits and skills learned in the Executive Functioning sessions, students are guided by our Productivity staff to practice those new skills practically with their academic work.
1:1 Tutoring
Looking for tutoring for learning disabilities? In our 1:1 sessions, students work with their tutor towards mastery of material rather than memorization. They help raise grades, fill content gaps, build subject confidence and create better study habits.
How do I know if my student needs GOALS?
My student needs help with:
Being organized, time management, and staying on top of their academic work
Transitioning to high school, college, and other life stages
A learning disability or executive functioning disorder or was just diagnosed with one

- Productivity. Taking the habits and skills learned in the Executive Functioning sessions, students are guided by our Productivity staff to apply those new skills practically with their academic work and beyond.
- 1:1 Tutoring. Looking for tutoring for learning disabilities? In our 1:1 sessions, students work with their tutor towards actual mastery of material rather than simple memorization and repetition.
