We are both women who had the opportunities to live and study in Bulgaria and Germany and consider ourselves to be lucky with all the opportunities on our professional development path.
Social anthropologist – by training and at heart – Zornitsa has been working for 6+ years in the nonprofit sector, where she learned to see its potential despite its flaws. She loves to meet new people, new languages make her smile and different cultures always give her a thrill. She is often inspired by strangers and by her toddler daughter, who sometimes keeps her company at work. Zornitsa loves creative writing and spends her spare time observing her everyday life through an anthropological lens.
Anna studied Journalism and Communication (B.A.) and Intercultural Communication Studies (M.A.) in Berlin and Frankfurt Oder. Before switching to the nonprofit sector she was working in local and international TV broadcasters such as RBB and DW TV for more than 6 years. Her professional aspirations changed after volunteering in Colombia for several months and lead to her decision to dedicate full-time to development aid work, first for 2 years in Armenia through Bread for the World Germany and in continuation in Berlin. She adores Latin American music and Caucasian traditional dishes.
She speaks Bulgaria, German, English, Spanish and Russian.
